Phosphogypsum Recycling: A Review of Environmental Issues, Current Trends, and Prospects

The problem of recycling and storage phosphogypsum is topical for many countries around the world, as it associated with environmental problems pollution water bodies, land, atmosphere. Therefore, this paper analyzes directions possible alternatives to its use. main disadvantages existing methods processing were identified trends in waste management also considered. Through VOSviewer programme, a visualization cluster interconnections was carried out research publications various fields utilization. Five clusters formed: red cluster—phosphogypsum construction industry; green cluster—radiation phosphate fertilizers; yellow cluster—monitoring migration components ecosystem, mobile forms heavy metals their inflow into aquifers from dumps; blue cluster—use agriculture an ameliorant component fertilizer; purple cluster—the impact on microorganisms, particularly bioremediation processes. Under proposed integrated biochemical approach, use bioprocesses recovery dumps implementation new biotechnological solutions phosphorus raw materials are presented.
